The Sir Cliff Richard Movement Of New Zealand

Affiliated to the International Cliff Richard Movement.

President: Mrs Katrina Richards, 66A Thompson Street Leamington Cambridge 3432

The Sir Cliff Richard Movement Of New Zealand (Sir CRM of NZ) is part of a world-wide network of Fan Clubs for Cliff. Each club is affiliated to the Inernational Cliff Richard Movement (ICRM) For around 7 years through to mid 1983 there was a NZ branch of the ICRM.
This became the Cliff Richard Movement of New Zealand (CRM of NZ) from 1st June 1983.Currently there are ICRM affiliated clubs in 22 countries - and a world-wide membership in excess of 80,000.

The ICRM was founded in 1970 as a means of linking together all the Cliff Richard Fan Clubs around the world in a spirit of friendship and co-operation. Previously there had been just many clubs with little or no contact with one another, and the members of the Dutch Cliff Richard club initiated the concept of the ICRM. For this reason, ICRM Headquarters is in Amsterdam, Holland.
ICRM Secretary is Anton Hasmann Jnr, who lives near Amsterdam - and close by lives Harry de Louw who edits the International clubpaper detailed below. There is an overall ICRM Co-ordinator living in London. She is Christine Whitehead, who liases between the clubs internationally, ICRM Headquarters and with Cliff's management.

There is no paid staff working for the ICRM, or its affiliated clubs - just a keen and enthusiatic group of folks who enjoy doing what they can to help and support in friendship, Cliff and his fans around the world. Many clubs organisers have full-time occupations, and club activities are simply an enjoyable "hobby" in their spare time at home. Clubs are run by members for members.

Every 2 months ICRM Headquarters produces and International Clubpaper called "Dynamite International" (DI) this is a large format 4-page newsletter with pictures and news of Cliff from around the world. Copies of this publication are sent to SIR CRM of NZ members.

Many clubs also produce their own newsletter. The SIR CRM of NZ  publishers a quarterly magazine called "Small Corners" with pictures and news of Cliff from around the world as well as in NZ. It also features reports on fundraising and social activities within the club. It is compiled by South Auckland member Gleewyn Trezise, who welcomes contributions from members.
"Small Corners" is produced 4 times a year,  and along with International clubpaper Dynamite International is sent to all club members in March, June , September and December.

There is an annual membership fee for all clubs affiliated to the ICRM. One year membership for the SIR CRM of NZ costs $25-00. All cheques must be made payable to CRM of NZ - and enrollment form and fee should be sent to the Club President Katrina Richards. There is no set 'year' for membership; a member's year simply commences from the time of joining, and lasts a full tweleve months.
A new member receives a SIR CRM of NZ Membership Card plus any back issues of the publications mentioned above. SIR CRM of NZ members have the opportunity to participate in any of the activites organised by both the ICRM (advertised in Dynamite International) and the SIR CRM of NZ (advertised in "Small Corners").

New members are always welcome. Should you wish to join us, please contract Katrina on 09 528 7875 and arrange for an enrollment form to be sent.

Thank you
